Anne Myles served as counclor of Baie-D'Urfé in 1978 and then as Mayor from 1983 to 2002.
From 2002 to 2005 Baie-D'Urfé was forced merged with Montreal. After Anne had decided to retire from public office in 2005 an article about her was published in News & Views:

The industrial park of Baie-D'Urfé is often forgotten because it is barely visible form within the residential area. A comparison of aerial images from 1975 and 2005 shows how much it had changed and how many additional companies came to this industrial park.
