Jones Falls and Delta Stone Mill 2025
Jones Falls locks
The place is very beautiful and full of little frogs.
Jones Falls has three lower locks that are separated from the upper lock by a turning basin. It is the only lock station in Canada still operated manually. A truly interesting spectacle!
Old Delta Stone Mill
The mill was built in 1810 and is the only stone grist mill in Ontario still in existance.
You can read more about its history at https://deltamill.org/history.html
The volunteers there were very enthusiastic and willing to answer all our questions. Definitively worth a visit when you are in the area!
